Following an incident on the Mild Hydrocracking (MHC) - Industrial Montaj quickly mobilized to carry out this critical project, including:
- Securing the unit (Blind equipment and piping lines)
- Demolition of damaged piping lines (cold cutting)
- Demolition of steel structures and access platforms
- Prefabrication & installation of 50 tons of steel structures
- Prefabrication & installation of 3,000 inches of piping
- Repairs on 108 piping lines
- Replacement of 146 removable elements
- Maintenance works on:
- 3 columns
- 5 heat exchangers (20-ton bundle, 2m diameter)
- 6 pressure vessels
- 2 furnaces
- Extensive mechanical work inside the 3 reactors, including cladding repairs (F22V with 347 cladding)
- This project was special as much for its suddenness, for the phases of securing the unit after the incident, for the removal and demolition phases as for the strong variation in the scope of the work.
